CHIVATARA Collection - Metta Skin Oil was born from a deeply personal journey. After struggling with dry, reactive skin and dermatitis, I found that many products - even those recommended, felt too harsh, too heavy, or simply ineffective.
Guided by hands-on experience and ongoing research into skin health, I began exploring ingredients that could truly support the skin barrier - focusing on nourishment, simplicity, and balance.
What started as a personal solution soon became something more.
Formulated with a carefully selected blend of lightweight, skin-compatible oils, Metta Skin Oil is designed to absorb effortlessly, delivering deep nourishment without heaviness. The texture leaves a soft, dry-touch finish, making it comfortable for daily use across the body.
All the heart of the formulation is squalane and jojoba oil, chosen for their ability to support the skin’s natural lipid barrier and enhance hydration without clogging or heaviness. These are complemented by caprylic/capric triglyceride, which allow the oil to glide smoothly and absorb quickly into the skin.
To further support dry and delicate skin, a blend of argan, raspberry seed, pomegranate, and avocado oils provides essential nutrients and antioxidant care, helping to soften texture and improve overall skin comfort. Vitamin E adds additional antioxidant support, helping to protect the integrity of the formulation and the skin.
A subtle infusion of rose and jasmine essential oils with a soft touch of vanilla, offers a calming sensory experience, refined and gentle, even for those who typically avoid fragrance.
Over time, I noticed visible improvements in my own skin - dryness softened, texture became smoother, and areas prone to irritation felt more balanced. When shared with clients, including those with sensitive and dermatitis-prone skin, the response was the same : comfort, nourishment, and ease.
Metta, in Sanskrit meaning loving-kindness, reflects the intention behind every drop, to care for the skin with gentleness, patience, and respect.
For optimal hydration, apply to slightly damp skin after showering or bathing to help lock in moisture and support the skin barrier. Massage gently until absorbed.
